Catholic Northwest History Curriculum
The Catholic Northwest History Curriculum was developed by the Archives and the Catholic Schools Department to address the growing needs of teachers and students in this area of learning and to address the lack of quality instructional resources regarding Catholic Northwest history.
The curriculum seeks to help students understand how the Catholic Church in the Pacific Northwest grew out of a deep sense of mission and how that sense of mission is at work in the lives of individuals today.
The Catholic Northwest History Curriculum is designed for teachers to readily adapt each section to specific grade levels (4-12). Many of the themes and lesson plans can be easily integrated with other courses, such as art, geography, religion, and mathematics.
The curriculum is divided into three parts:
1. Outline or Major Themes
2. Lesson Plans
3. Appendix
