Archives and Records - Catholic Northwest History Curriculum
Curriculum Outline

The Catholic Northwest History Curriculum was developed to help students understand how the Catholic Church in the Pacific Northwest grew out of a deep sense of mission. Mission is used here as a word which describes a person's response to God's call to enter the lives of others in a courageous, creative, persistent and faithful way so as to draw them into a deeper relationship with God through the Church. The purpose of this curriculum is to enable students to recognize that same sense of mission at work in the lives of individuals in the Pacific Northwest today. Ultimately, the student will realize a connection to local Catholic history and be animated to live out that spirit of mission today.
